“Trouble in Don River paradise”

Monday, January 16th, 2017

This column was written by Bill Dunphy, and appeared in the Toronto Sun on July 12th, 1989.

Jeff Goodall slaps at a mosquito that’s buzzing his neck and points proudly out across the little lagoon.
“I always stop by here. There’s ducks and ducklings, and sometimes a heron or two,” he says. His eyes scan the tangled brush by the shore, searching for one of them “fancy” herons.
Jeff is taking me along for part of one of his regular rambles through the Don Valley, exploring up from Pottery Road up to the Leaside Bridge.
We’ve already searched for painted turtles in a sandy little backwater, and now we’re after herons. (more…)

Some thoughts on 2017 and the year just gone…

Sunday, January 1st, 2017

Overall, I feel very positive about the year to come, and I think we can reasonably expect some significant improvements both in Europe and North America.

Back in June of 2016, in a post titled “The day Britain stood up and reclaimed its birthright…” I said: “The tide seems to be turning, and I feel that a Donald Trump presidency will be the next break-through for the White race.” (1)

Trump did indeed go on to win, I felt quite certain of it, and the “left” subsequently went into a hysterical, shrieking melt-down that has been putting a smile on my face for several weeks now.

Posts down…

I can’t write in this heat, and it’s going to get worse. I don’t remember being so bothered by heat before, maybe it’s part of getting old…

Expressing your opinions by writing letters to the editor…

“Every police force needs to have a strong, vigorously enforced and permanent program, designed to weed out the bullies, the psychopaths and the sadists, who are naturally attracted to police work in the same way that pedophiles are attracted to school yards and youth groups.” (1).

June 30th, 1916 – “The day Sussex died”

Thursday, June 30th, 2016

This post is about my great-uncle George Beale, who died in the Great War and is honoured with a brass plaque on the wall of the church in the village where he was born.

Although he was a Gloucestershire man, he was a member of the 13th Royal Sussex Regiment. He signed up at Hastings, and the reason for his being there is a mystery which will remain unsolved.

The day Britain stood up and reclaimed its birthright…

Friday, June 24th, 2016

I thought this might happen.

The British working man is sick and tired of being told that he is a “racist” whenever he says he doesn’t want to be invaded and have his country taken over by unassimilable foreigners, and as with the murder of Jo Cox, the floodgates are opening up.

I take no pleasure in it, but you self-righteous “liberals” have been stomping on the rest of us for far too long, and now the average Joe is waking up, and we are about to get even, at least in the UK.

Now it’s your turn to be treated like dirt… and yes, I am delighted. Enough of you globalist, race-mixing traitors; our heroes from the past such as Watt Tyler, Sir Drancis Drake, Horatio Nelson and all the others, can now sleep a little more easily knowing that their beloved country is taking back the reins of power from the faceless bureaucrats in Brussels.

And, to add to my delight, the Scots will now have a second referendum to leave the U.K., and with any luck, those arrogant, whiney obstructionists will be gone and out of our faces. Had the Globalists and immigration boosters won, Scotland would have had a very large part of it.

The tide seems to be turning, and I feel that a Donald Trump presidency will be the next break-through for the White race.

“Channel blocked by fog, continent isolated!”

I love it so…

Jeff Goodall.

Once in a while something happens that, while it may have little meaning to anyone else, marks an important change in our lives. In this case, I just found that I have been “de-friended” by a Facebook friend I have known for not-quite 40 years. I will call him “DJ”.

The trials and tribulations of Wynne’s health-care cutbacks

Tuesday, May 24th, 2016

As we are all too aware in Ontario, the provincial government, led by lesbian Premier Kathleen Wynne, has been spending money and piling up deficits literally by the billions. What might be somewhat less known, is that Wynne has been cutting back on funding for the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) at the same time. Prescribed medications and other services are being de-listed (i.e. no longer paid for by OHIP), and there have already been accusations that Wynne is budgeting on the backs of the elderly and sick.

Posts will stop for a few days, then resume intermittantly

Once again, advancing age and osteo-arthritis are taking their toll, and I am going to hospital soon for a second hip replacement. As long as my knees and other joints stay in good shape, that should be it, as there will be no more hips left to be removed(!)

Merry Christmas and an “enlightened” Happy New Year to all!

Saturday, December 26th, 2015

With no family in Canada I took it easy yesterday, and now it is time for me to wish all the best to my web-site visitors, be they friend, foe, police “hate-squad” members, or anyone else. At this time of the year, I wonder what I am doing, why, and is it worth it? But of course, I soon feel re-assured that it is indeed worth it! My web statistics are moderate, but they cover the globe, and my repeat visitors are loyal and many.
