Occupied Territories – June 28th, 2016

Just as a reminder, I always include “Occupied Territories” posts in the “Israel Lobby” category also, because I don’t believe that these disgraceful violations of human rights would be tolerated by the rest of the world were it not for Lobby propaganda, threats and smears. -JG.

Israel wants a “peace process” only if it can’t succeed – “Europe is increasingly fearful that an emboldened Israeli government may soon annex all or major parts of the West Bank”

Israel using water as a weapon of war? – “While Israelis, including illegal West Bank settlements, use the vast majority of it (water from Palestinian acquifers), Palestinians are sold their own water back at high prices”

Random Quotations – June 21st, 2016

Three Israel-related items… all emphasis added by me.

“I have never believed that the attack on the USS Liberty was a case of mistaken identity. That is ridiculous… I have to conclude that it was Israel’s intent to sink the Liberty and leave as few survivors as possible… What is so chilling and cold-blooded, of course, is that they could kill as many Americans as they did in confidence that Washington would cooperate in quelling any public outcry.” – Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, in a June 8th, 1997 memorandum, quoted by the U.S.S. Liberty Memorial web-site.

The Palestine Chronicle is now in serious danger of folding?

The following is a copy-and-paste of their most recent appeal. I have been receiving their emails for several years now, and consider them to be highly informative.

“Dear Readers,

“The commitment of the Palestine Chronicle to the Palestinian cause spans more than 15 years. During this time, it has expanded its readership significantly, grown in terms of content as well as a limited but highly effective staff, and remained committed to being at the forefront of current news.

“However, and most unfortunately, this non-profit organization runs the serious risk of being shut down. As dismal and unfortunate as it is, this is the reality of the situation for the Palestine Chronicle at the moment.

Is Israel’s foreign ministry involved in UOIT/Hasbara clash?

Jewish monopoly on victim-hood will not tolerate challenges

The following are extracts from Lorrie Goldstein’s article “Liberals don’t own the Jewish vote” (1) appearing in the Toronto Sun on February 3rd, 2016:

“While many Jews were offended by Trudeau’s Holocaust omission, mainstream Jewish organizations tended to downplay it… Indeed, some didn’t publicly refer to the controversy prior to the Sun writing about it, and when they did, accepted the explanation from the Prime Minister’s Office it was a mistake… I, too, take the PMO’s word it was inadvertent, although I will be watching closely from now on since it was such a bizarre omission.” We are then told that “Whatever happened, it re-enforced the conviction among many Jews that the Liberals under Trudeau will not be the staunch allies of Israel as the Conservatives were under Prime Minister Stephen Harper.”

Genetic manipulation and the future of humanity

“Mention of eugenics inevitably results in whoops of horror, gnashing of hair, rending of teeth, and discussion of Hitler… If by “eugenics” is meant both the selective breeding of humans and genetic manipulation of ourselves, we will shortly have to discuss it, Fuehrer or no Fuehrer. Google on ‘Designer babies’.” – Fred Reed, “The Inevitability of Eugenics: A Race of Self-Designing Tinker Toys” (1).
