“Turkey announced a series of political sanctions against the Netherlands on Monday over its refusal to allow two Turkish ministers to campaign there, including halting high-level political discussions between the two countries and closing Turkish air space to Dutch diplomats… The (Turkish foreign) ministry also objected to what it called a ‘disproportionate’ use of force against demonstrators at a protest afterward… (Erdogan) went on to advise Turks living in Europe not to vote for parties that he described as ‘enemies of Turkey’…” (*).

“As the Halcyon Hotel series draws to a close on ITV, we may reflect on what a dose of Political Correctness it has been… Black and Brown people were drawn into the narrative at virtually every stage… the fact is that there were virtually none of them living and employed in wartime London… Despite this, they popped up on screen with a kind of ludicrously anachronistic and annoying frequency… There was even a turbaned Sikh RAF Officer who put in an appearance now and again… In order to misinform viewers, a parallel dimension must be fabricated, and a multicultural Britain projected on to a historical period when it didn’t exist… It’s a way of denying the British people their true history.” – Jean de Valette, “5-Star political correctness from trash (I)TV” – British National Party, Feb. 22nd, 2017.

“Her motion enables the current incursion of anti-democratic values into Canada, as we see from the example of Europe: the Muslim migrant chaos and rampant crime, including the rape of infidel women, has been arrogantly waved away by leftist politicians and leaders who insist that it is ‘racist’ to point out the fact that Islamic texts contain justifications for such crimes. These rapes are not isolated cases, but are committed so frequently in part because of the justification for them within Islamic teaching…” – Christine Williams, “Canada: Trudeau examining ways to silence ‘hateful criticism’ over ‘anti-Islamophobia’ motion M-103“ – Jihad Watch, March 6th, 2017.
“Four decades ago, even when the gap between local wages and housing prices was not nearly as severe as it is today, economist Gordon Soules published an eye-opening book titled The Housing Crisis: Causes, Effects, Solutions… In it, Art Phillips, Bill Vander Zalm and Mike Harcourt detail a fist-full of reasons that house prices were so high in Metro Vancouver, including lack of zoning density and inadequate social housing… The politicians did not shy away from how high immigration rates and foreign capital were among the biggest contributors to the city’s rising prices – phenomenons re-confirmed this year by UBC geographers David Ley, Dan Hiebert and other scholars” – and – “I maintain that the primary approach to solving the housing problem in the Greater Vancouver area lies in the immediate reduction and future control of immigration.” – Then-mayor Art Phillips of Vancouver, mid-1970’s (1).

As stated by John Thompson in his article “Smelling a Rat?” posted on his website yesterday (1), “The bomb-threat at Concordia University yesterday was delivered by a note – claiming the purported bomb was the work of the ‘Council of Conservative Citizens of Canada’. The purported bomber claimed to be arranging bombs throughout Concordia wherever Muslim students were gathered… As another nice touch, the note that announced the bomb threat cited the Trump presidency, suggesting the ‘C4’ group was motivated by it… Predictably, many commentators were delighted to paint the bomb threat as the work of a White Supremacist, and the rest followed by inference. He must obviously be ‘Right-Wing’, Christian, etc; and now feeling empowered by the Trump Presidency.”
As you know, you and we are now facing an inhospitable social and media environment. Gatestone Institute has recently come under smear campaigns from both extremist websites and the mainstream media. Facebook has repeatedly obstructed Gatestone content – sometimes with outright acts of censorship. Google has restricted our access to its Google News platform, and banned us from using its advertising platform.
“We need your help. As a registered not-for-profit organization, Gatestone relies on the generosity of our supporters to enable us to sustain our community of experts and authors, and produce the important materials that educate the public about serious current issues – those that the establishment media prefer to ignore or wish away.”
