Ontario Law Society to enforce political correctness?

Thursday, October 19th, 2017

“Re ‘Law society confers capricious dictatorial powers on its own administration’ (Conrad Black, Oct 13): I am not surprised at the lack of attention being paid to this issue. If the members of our legal profession are at risk of being coerced into serving as hapless, unwilling ‘enforcers’ in the politically-correct attack on our rights and freedoms, (and I think that’s the real agenda), then why draw attention to it? I have had dark, disturbing doubts about ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusiveness’ for many years, considering them to be both unnatural and destructive. Then again, as a union officer, I spent twenty years filing grievances on behalf of the Toronto inside workers without any regard whatsoever for race, creed, or sexual orientation; anyone who paid dues was entitled to service, and I made sure they received it. And yet now, if I should need legal services for any reason, would I be able to find a lawyer who would dare to represent me? Indeed, they may well find it necessary to require myself and all other potential clients to sign affidavits swearing undying loyalty to diversity and inclusiveness, before feeling able to safely represent us. As Ontario permits the Law Society to be self-governing, I think the Kathleen Wynne government should tell them to straighten out their act.” – Jeff Goodall, National Post, Oct. 17th, 2017.

Those whom the Gods would destroy: ‘Entitlement’ on steroids

Sunday, September 24th, 2017

“A woman hired as an Indigenous-affairs consultant for the city has resigned after a short stint and filed a human rights complaint against her former employer… she quit, claiming the city violated her right to practise smudging, which involves sacred medicine as part of Indigenous ceremony… She then filed a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal (1)”.

Was Charlottesville a “False-Flag” Operation?

Friday, August 18th, 2017

“We [Charlottesville police] were ordered to bring the rival groups together. As soon as they were in contact with each other, we were told to stand down. It was outrageous. We weren’t allowed to arrest anyone without asking the mayor first. We weren’t even allowed to stop the driver as he sped away… The event was being set up as far back as at least May and it went like clockwork… We wanted to do our job and keep the peace. But these mother******s in charge really want to destroy America.” (1).

Elitist venom over free-speech lawyer’s remembrance service

Sunday, July 16th, 2017

“Memorial for lawyer draws controversy, July 13
I find it astonishing that such vitriol should be poured out over a remembrance service for a member of the legal profession who passed away so tragically and at such a relatively young age. She broke no laws in her representation of persons whose opinions are not “politically correct” and her actions were no more reprehensible than those of criminal lawyers who specialize in representing those accused of breaking the Criminal Code. Barbara Kulaszka’s professional activities were of considerable assistance in breaking the anti-democratic stranglehold over free speech exercised by the notorious Section 13 and we owe her a debt of gratitude for that. Jeff Goodall, Oshawa” – Toronto Star, July 16th, 2017.

Anti-White Racism Quotations – June 12th, 2017

Monday, June 12th, 2017

Five items in total…

“Detroit is bankrupt, the south side of Chicago is a war zone, and majority-black cities all over America are beset by degeneracy and violence. And blacks never take responsibility for their failures. Instead, they lash out in anger and resentment. Across the generations and across the country, as we have seen in Detroit, Watts, Newark, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, and now Ferguson, rioting and looting are just one racial incident away… The experiment has failed. Not because of culture, or white privilege, or racism. The fundamental problem is that white people and black people are different. They differ intellectually and temperamentally.” – Anthony Bryan, “Ten percent is not enough” – American Renaissance, Sept. 23rd, 2014.

“The University of Ottawa put their free weekly yoga class on hiatus while they consulted over ‘cultural concerns’ that the practice was taken from India, a culture that ‘experienced oppression, cultural genocide and diasporas due to colonialism and western supremacy.’ The weekly class only resumed after the white teacher who’d taught it for eight years was replaced with someone with Indian background.” – Michele Mandel, “Cancelled Toronto art showcase the latest example of political correctness gone wrong” – Toronto Sun, May 2nd, 2017.

M-103 passes: Now the “hate-crimes” will begin in earnest

Friday, March 24th, 2017

“There is (also) concern that the motion will, in some manner, chill valid criticism of Islamist terror, or will not make allowance for legitimate criticism or analysis of Islam. Such criticism would now be forced to wear the degrading mantle of Islamophobia. Given this welter of mixed impressions and varied understandings of the very point of the motion, how effective can it be?… There is the key term itself, Islamophobia. As I have suggested in an earlier piece, this recent coinage, Islamophobia, is itself a contested term” (1).

Canada: Shifting the goal-posts as the centre takes another veer to the left – “The push is on to shame even more of conservatism into submission”
