Canadian gov’t to strip political dissenters of citizenship?

This idea that the government should be able to strip naturalized Canadians of their citizenship is nothing new; it first came up perhaps twenty years ago, and I wrote about the issue in Canada Free Press almost eight years ago.

While I am definitely not a terrorist or likely to involve myself in violent activities for any reason, I’m wondering just how long it will be before the scope of such legislation, if passed, will slowly be ‘expanded’ to include anyone the government doesn’t like, or whom the forces of ‘political correctness’ i.e. special interest groups, human rights zealots, B’nai Brith and the Anti-Defamation League, wish to pursue.

G20 police excesses demand re-assessment of public attitude

In my opinion, the events of the June, 2010 Toronto G20 assembly were not the only cause of the public’s subsequent shock and outrage at the behaviour of the police. For decades now ‘political correctness’ has been whittling away at our society and the pillars which support it.

To my mind this is a courageous public stand, and Jean Asselborn deserves encouragement and support  – Jeff Goodall.

Israel’s startling ‘settler’ admission

“The National Security Council also echoed Netanyahu’s comments on the borders of a future Palestinian state, saying that “the State of Israel is determined not to return to 1967 borders,” Amidror said, adding that “those are borders that place our ability to defend ourselves in question and it would be a mistake to return to them… They are borders that leave too many Israelis outside of Israel’s borders and thus it wouldn’t be right to return to those borders (emphasis added -JG)” Netanyahu’s aide said.
