Toronto 2010 G20 summit report released

Below is a link to the full text of Judge Morden’s report on the disgusting spectacle put on by the Toronto Police in June 2010, with over 1,000 civilians arrested and held, the great majority of whom were not charged with anything.  Dozens of stores were trashed downtown, and four police cruisers were set on fire and destroyed.

Elliot Lake and our ‘unwritten contract’ with society

Elliot Lake is a small community in Ontario on the North shore of Georgian Bay, above Manitoulin, the largest fresh-water island in the world.  It is located between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, and has a population of some 11,000.  It recently suffered a disaster as part of the rooftop parking area of its only shopping mall collapsed into a food court below.

A bleak outlook for free speech in Ontario?

A large part of society’s problem with LGBT people right now, as I see it, is that they are not satisfied with tolerance, or even acceptance.  They demand full-fledged approval, and whoever fails to give it to them can be mercilessly hounded, as Toronto Mayor Rob Ford can undoubtedly attest.

The American election: Big money trumps democracy

Obtuse Europeans should be ‘undermined’ – Bilderberger

Peter Sutherland arrogantly proclaims that the European Union should seek to “undermine” the “homogeneity” of its member states, and uses the disproved notion that migration is a “crucial dynamic for economic growth” in some EU nations “however difficult it may be to explain this to the citizens of those states.”

Canada’s pathetic obeisance to Israel

Canadian governmental grovelling to Israel is reaching the point of insanity, let alone criminality, in my humble opinion.  Canada is a nation whose professional armed forces, while of the highest calibre, are minimal.  And, of course, we have no nuclear weapons.  And yet, how proud we are to offer support to a country whose armed forces outnumber ours many times over, and which possesses more nuclear weapons than the British!
