Reflections on “Dump Israel!”

Friday, August 31st, 2012

The above title refers to my post “U.S. intelligence community draft report says dump Israel!” which  appears immediately beneath this one.

In it, I reviewed an article by Franklin Lamb which appeared recently on the Foreign Policy Journal website. Of all the posts I have put up on “www.jeff-goodall.com”, this one has achieved by far the widest coverage and number of site visits.  It has also resulted in posting and debate on a large number of forums, ranging from the right-wing “Stormfront” to the presumably more mainstream “Amazon.com”.

U.S. intelligence community draft report says dump Israel!

Tuesday, August 28th, 2012

According to an article by Franklin Lamb appearing on the Foreign Policy Journal’s website today, the Israel lobby is  preparing to trash a draft report prepared by the U.S. intelligence community that suggests the U.S. needs to drastically reduce its commitment to Israel for a number of increasingly urgent reasons.

2005: Israel, Russia, and the Jewish oligarchs

Monday, August 27th, 2012

“The oligarchs are Jewish businessmen whom the Russian authorities suspect of committing economic and other crimes, and who fled Russia after arrest warrants were issued against them… Senior officials in Jerusalem said today that if Putin or one of his staff asks for the extradition of Jewish businessmen residing in Israel, Israel would reject the request out of hand.”

“Jewish” businessmen residing in Israel… how convenient!

Scotland: Nationalist objectives cause ethical clashes

Monday, August 27th, 2012

“SNP ministers are sending an appalling signal that Scotland is open for business regardless of ethics. Instead of doing deals for pandas and fossil fuels our First Minister should be taking a much tougher line with China and its industries on human rights.” – Patrick Harvie, MSP for Glasgow.

AIPAC and the Foreign Registration Act: Petition

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012

“The Foreign Registration Act clearly states that any lobby that acts on behalf of a foreign government must register as a foreign agent. Even though AIPAC has been caught spying for Israel, shamelessly campaigns to give American tax dollars to Israel for weapons that are used to kill Palestinian civilians, and lobbies for American soldiers to die in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran for Israel’s hegemony of the Middle East…

The carefully-crafted ‘Jack Layton’ mystique

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012

“Most people, when they die, they want to die alone, just be with their loved ones… And this guy’s writing a speech to the entire country on his deathbed…Wow, that guy really cared.” – Chalkmaster Dave.

U.S. ‘Country Report’ lists IDF & settler abuses

Monday, August 20th, 2012

I never could figure out why Israeli ‘settlers’ attack Palestinians in order to punish the Israeli government for curbing settlements.  Of course, it may be nothing more than a self-serving excuse to do what they so love to do; beat up on men, women and children, destroy olive trees and crops, and damage or destroy places of worship.
