Review: “Dates that destroyed America” by Chuck Baldwin

“These dates forever changed America for the worse”

Here is a link to an article by Chuck Baldwin, who describes himself as “a radio broadcaster, syndicated columnist, and pastor dedicated to preserving the historic principles upon which America was founded.”

In it, he identifies the times at which key actions were taken which undermined the United States, and have collectively and over time re-defined it as something far different to the Confederated Republic envisioned and brought into being by the Founding Fathers.

I feel this is an important read for anyone wishing to understand how Western Christian Civilization is being brought to its knees.

I was born in England and live in Canada, but the practical reality is that to understand what is happening to us, we must understand how the most powerful component of our civilization is being subverted and undermined; not only as a matter of basic awareness, but also to help us to understand how we and our own cultures and traditions are being marginalized and destroyed.

Chuck Baldwin’s article effectively and concisely describes the sequence of events from Abraham Lincoln’s federal usurpation of the powers of all of the individual states following the end of the Civil War, and 1868’s “14th Amendment” which created United States citizenship, whereas previously citizenship had been of the individual states only.

From there we go through a number of key usurpations of power, culminating with today’s “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” otherwise known as “Obamacare”.

This article is a sombre and thought-provoking summary of America’s slow but steady slide down the path to tyranny, and I highly recommend it.
