Britain: Government to legally ban the boycotting of goods from illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian land – “all publicly funded institutions will lose the freedom to refuse to buy goods and services from companies involved in the arms trade, fossil fuels, tobacco products or Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank” (Emphasis added -JG)

U.N: Richard Falk sympathises with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon over reactions to his criticisms of Israel’s behavior – “…challenging Israel’s postures, policies, and practices should be placed high on the UN agenda of unfinished business if what you propose on behalf of the Palestinian people is ever to have the slightest chance of being achieved”

Britain: Israeli prime minister demands London Underground flyposters be removed – London Palestine Action responds: “Israel and its supporters are used to having biased mainstream media uncritically repeat its point of view… the government is undermining local democracy in order to protect Israel”

Canada: Trudeau backs motion condemning BDS Movement for “demonization and delegitimization” of Israel – NDP Leader Tom Mulcair accuses him of “once again aligning himself with the Tories to suppress the civil liberties of advocacy groups”

Britain: Is “anti-Semitism” hard-wired into Labour? – “antisemitism remains alive on the left of British politics… it is partly about refusal to engage with contemporary antisemitism as it is understood by most Jewish people today

America: Is criticism of Israel anti-Semitic? “Campus Hillels and other Jewish organizations that have long worked with LGBTQ campus groups, student of color organizations, and other progressive clubs on campus to host film festivals, panels, and other events increasingly are being shut out, rejected from participating, even when Israel is not on the agenda”
