Four items in total… all concerned with Britain’s Priti Patel and her visit to Israel managed by the Conservative Friends of Israel’s Lord Polak.
“Questions were rightly raised as to what was behind Patel’s flouting of diplomatic protocol and failure to inform the British Foreign Office about these meetings….it beggars belief that a senior member of the government was oblivious of her own government’s policy of not engaging with Israel on any issues relating to the Golan Heights that might be interpreted as a recognition of Israel’s right to that territory… But perhaps Patel’s own assessment was that the British government has become so one-sided in its support of Israel that she could get away with even this irresponsible act of folly.” – Yossi Mekelberg, “Priti Patel exposed the truth about Britain and Israel” – Arab News, Nov. 18th, 2017.
“Patel pressed for the Israeli army, one of the most powerful in the world, to receive a chunk of Britain’s overseas aid. Meanwhile, she has sought to cut aid to the Palestinians… A clue to how she reached such absurd ‘humanitarian’ priorities is provided in the figure of Stuart Polak, mentor on her Israel ‘holiday’.. The honorary president of Conservative Friends of Israel, Lord Polak has recruited four-fifths of Conservative MPs, and almost every government minister, to a group whose explicit goal is to advance Israeli interests in Britain.” – Jonathan Cook, “The Israel Lobby is slowly being dragged into the light” – AlterNet, Nov. 14th, 2017.
“Priti Patel suggested that the UK should give aid to the Israeli army after a string of secret meetings with leading figures in Israel, including Benjamin Netanyahu… (Sir Malcolm Rifkind) said that it was ‘extremely unwise’of Mrs Patel to have held the secret meetings… Not only did she not tell the Foreign Office directly, so far as I’m aware the British Embassy in Israel wasn’t aware that this was happening.” – The Telegraph, “Priti Patel suggested UK should give aid to Israeli army after secret meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu” – Nov. 7th, 2017.
“Despite being born here, Patel clearly isn’t British. This country is merely the base for her career. From a Jewish point of view, she’s an ideal servant: a highly ambitious and unprincipled Hindu who has no concern either for British Whites or for the Muslim Palestinians displaced and mistreated by Israel… she might easily have got away with her outreach to Israel. Indeed, it’s likely that this outreach has lasted far longer and involved far more than she has now been forced to disclose. Patel is a shabbos-shiksa: she serves Jewish interests in return for funding and friendly media coverage.” – Tobias Langdon, “A shameless shabbos-shiksa: Priti Patel shills for Israel” – Occidental Observer, Nov. 17th, 2017.
