“In Toronto’s Gay Village earlier this month police arrested and charged pastor David Lynn with causing disturbance. Lynn, 39, had stormed the streets preaching pro-Christian messages in which he told passersby through a megaphone he was coming out as a Christian. Police said his actions attracted a ‘large hostile crowd’.” – Gilbert Ngabo and Temur Durrani, “Safety kits distributed ahead of Pride parade in case attendees face confrontations with anti-LGBTQ protesters” – Toronto Star, June 21st, 2019.
“The Islamist group Boko Haram has threatened to kill all Christians in south-eastern Niger unless they leave the area within days, Christian aid workers told BosNewsLife… Several rural Christian families have already fled to the regional city of Diffa after receiving a message saying: ‘You have three days to go, or you will be killed!’ from the militants, said Barnabas Fund, a well-informed Christian aid group.” – Stefan J. Bos, “Group seeks massacre Niger Christians” – BosNewsLife, June 20th 2019.
“Hardly anyone writes and speaks about the increasing attacks on Christian symbols. There is an eloquent silence in both France and Germany about the scandal of the desecrations and the origin of the perpetrators…. Not a word, not even the slightest hint that could in anyway lead to the suspicion of migrants… It is not the perpetrators who are in danger of being ostracized, but those who dare to associate the desecration of Christian symbols with immigrant imports. They are accused of hatred, hate speech and racism.” – PI News, March 24, 2019.
“The passages cited in the Iranian national’s rejection letter were from the book of Revelation, as well as Leviticus and other parts of the Old Testament. Nice try, but Revelation is a prophetic account, not a call to violence; also, there is no global problem of Christians and Jews citing violent verses from Revelation or the Old Testament and acting upon them. Jihadists, however, are citing the Qur’an to justify their violence, and doing so repeatedly and openly.” – Christine Douglass-Williams, “UK Home Office rejects asylum bid of Iranian convert to Christianity, says Christianity is not a religion of peace” – Jihad Watch, March 22nd, 2019.
“This lady is nuts! An Elkhorn, Nebraska grade school principal has banned candy canes during the Christmas season because she is afraid the J-shape of the candy might make students think of Jesus… I checked, Elkhorn has at least three synagogues so it must have an ample Jewish community. Perhaps the ‘J’ shaped candy canes made kids think of Jewish? Or maybe even the traditional Hanukkah food ‘Jelly Donuts.’ Actually, the ‘J’ always reminds me of junk food. Most probably the J-shaped candy reminds kids that they love sugar.” – Jeff Dunetz, “School principal bans candy canes because the J-shape might mean Jesus” – The Lid, Dec. 6th, 2018.
“The American Jewish Committee, the ADL and other major Jewish supremacist organizations have worked relentlessly to forbid the singing of Christmas carols in schools and public institutions. They have made sure that Nativity scenes and Christian symbols are removed from community property, but they have worked for and even received court approval for Jewish Menorahs on public property… Take for instance a recent ADL guide for Jewish parents in their campaign against Christmas in public schools, called: Religious issues in your child’s public school: A guide for Jewish parents, available on the ADL website.” – Israel Shamir, “Yuletide message” – The Unz Review, Dec. 23rd, 2018.
“We all have to think about which people we are and who we are living with. And in fact, we all have the same value. Although we do not speak the same language or pray to God in the same way or look the same, we have the same value, and we shall live in a country together and have the same rights… I say that I sometimes have more in common with Muslims, those I meet, than with the right-wing Christians… We hear a lot about terrorism and think that it is Muslims who practice this, which it is, but it is nevertheless a small, small minority of all the Muslims we know” – The first openly lesbian bishop in Sweden, Eva Brunne, quoted by Chris Tomlinson in “Swedish bishop claims to have more in common with Muslims than right-wing Christians” – Breitbart, June 5th, 2019.
