“The bright minds at the TDSB who put together the new dress code don’t say whether such sleepwear can be a nightgown, drawstring pants, straight pajamas or a Victoria Secret-style Teddy… I guess that’s open to interpretation, along with the myriad of tops and bottoms that will soon be perfectly acceptable to wear in class: Tops that are backless, bare the midriff and have plunging necklines that expose cleavage, as long as they cover ‘nipples’… This is all contained in the new dress code along with the permission to wear bottoms that expose legs, thighs and hips as long as ‘groin and buttocks’ are covered.” – Sue-Ann Levy, “The nearly naked truth about TDSB’s new dress code policy” – Toronto Sun, June 7th, 2019.
“The problem is clear. Eight of our most renowned high schools – including Stuyvesant High School, Bronx High School of Science and Brooklyn Technical High School – rely on a single, high-stakes exam. The Specialized High School Admissions Test isn’t just flawed – it’s a roadblock to justice, progress and academic excellence.” – New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, quoted by Walter E. Williams in “Black education decline” – Toronto Sun, June 19th, 2019.
“The almost comical thing about the U.S. is that most people persist in believing that the top educators are harmless, nice, pleasant, typical Americans. But the field of education has been a whirlpool or cesspool of socialist-communist-collectivist thinking for more than 120 years. Throughout that time, these subversives operated covertly but belligerently. They were the tireless termites in our basement.” – Bruce Deitrick Price, “K-12: Red Ed” – American Thinker, June 20th, 2019.
“I am against political correctness. I speak truth to power in class and my students learn about the financial drain of illegal immigration on the economy and the high crime rates of illegal immigrants… My students are ‘woke’ and are overwhelmingly against illegal immigration after taking my class… If you are going to reward illegal immigrants, there will be more illegal immigrants” – Georgia Gwinnett College Professor Fang Zhou, quoted by Tom Ciccotta in “Students want legal immigrant professor fired for criticizing illegal immigration” – Breitbart, June 10th, 2019.
“The second public school district in Washington state in less than a week was warned that it must ‘cease and desist’ its promotion of Islam through its Ramadan policy that gives Muslim students special privileges… The Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund (FCDF) sent the superintendent and school board of Northshore School District (NSD) – located in Bothell, Washington, just 30 minutes from Seattle – a ‘cease-and-desist’ letter demanding that officials put an end to their special Ramadan policy or face legal action.” – Michael F. Haverluck, “Another district told to ‘cease & desist’ promoting Islam” – One News Now, May 13th, 2019.
“The University of Alabama responded on Friday by returning a $21.5 million gift that it received from Culverhouse, who had allegedly tried to interfere in the operations of the law school. The school also removed his name from the law school… ‘The action taken by the Board today was a direct result of Mr. Culverhouse’s ongoing attempts to interfere in the operations of the Law School,’ said Kellee Reinhart, the university’s vice chancellor for communication. ‘That was the only reason the Board voted to remove his name and return his money’… ‘The school says the transaction to return the funds was processed Friday morning and that it will also return any accrued interest,’ NPR reported. ‘Last fall, Culverhouse pledged to donate a total of $26.5 million over four years’.” – Ryan Saavedra, “Alabama’s top donor calls for boycott against state, university over abortion. Alabama gives his money back, takes his name off building” – Daily Wire, June 7th, 2019.
“Virginia Tech hosted ten separate graduation ceremonies for students based on their identity. In May, the university held separate ceremonies for Black, Asian, Latino, Muslim, and LGBTQ students. Breitbart News reported in May that many American colleges offer separate graduation ceremonies for Black students… The College Fix reported this week that Virginia Tech is one of many universities that have adopted separate ceremonies for student groups based on identity… Unlike other universities, Virginia Tech will also hold a separate graduation ceremony for student veterans. ‘This event is held in order to celebrate the academic accomplishments of our student veterans. Those completing their undergraduate, graduate, and PhD degrees will receive a red, white, and blue cord, acknowledging the completion of their coursework and to signify our appreciation for their service to our country,’ the description for the ceremony reads.” – Tom Ciccotta, “Virginia Tech offers 10 different graduation ceremonies for Black, LGBT, Asian students” – Breitbart, June 3rd, 2019.
