“On February 26, the City of Vancouver voted not to renew funding for the Vancouver Rape Relief shelter – Canada’s oldest sexual assault crisis shelter. The shelter has provided trauma and outreach services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, incest, and sex trafficking since 1973… The decision comes after an extended campaign by trans rights activists to have the City of Vancouver strip funding from the shelter in 2019, with some calling the rape crisis centre ‘transphobic’.” – Anna Slatz, “Rape shelter loses funding after trans rights activists complain” – The Post Millennial, February 28th, 2020.

“Mermaids is an incredibly sinister organisation. I don’t accept that there’s such a thing as transgender youth. I think the adults have left the room on this and it is not for a major multinational like Starbucks to jump on board something on which so little has been thought about ethically and practically… Telling confused and unhappy children that their lives can be solved by going through incredibly difficult hormonal therapies including puberty blockers and then at a later stage being made into an approximation of the body of the opposite sex? No. No. No!” – Author Douglas Murray, quoted by James Delingpole in “Starbucks promotion of trans kids charity ‘incredibly sinister’.” – Breitbart, February 16th, 2020.

“For those who knew the Scouts through their proud and honorable days, the demise has been slow and painful. But this is what comes of throwing up your hands on a century of conviction: irrelevance and, ultimately, insolvency… The Scouts spent years in court just for the freedom to stick to their moral code. They won – but to the organization’s dismay – the battle didn’t end. Waves of LGBT activists kept coming. The pressure built and built until finally, in 2013, under the leadership of Rex Tillerson, headquarters gave into the lie that compromise would be their salvation. Seven years later, the irony is: there’s nothing left to save.” – Tony Perkins, “A badge of disgrace: The fall of the Boy Scouts” – Patriot Post, February 19th, 2020.

“President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday Russia would not legalize gay marriage as long as he was in the Kremlin… He made clear he would not allow the traditional notion of mother and father to be subverted by what he called ‘parent number 1’ and ‘parent number 2’.. ‘As far as ‘parent number 1’ and ‘parent number 2’ goes, I’ve already spoken publicly about this and I’ll repeat it again: as long as I’m president this will not happen. There will be dad and mum,’ Putin said… During his two decades in power, Putin has closely aligned himself with the Orthodox Church and sought to distance Russia from liberal Western values, including attitudes toward homosexuality and gender fluidity.” – Bradford Hanson, “Putin rejects ‘gay marriage’, considers amending constitution to protect traditional marriage” – National Vanguard, February 24th, 2020.

“A human rights complaint was filed by Kimberly Nixon in 1995 against the center for the refusal to train Nixon, born male, to become a peer counsellor. Vancouver Rape Relief did not believe that Nixon could be a peer counsellor to other women, because Nixon was not born female. A rape relief center did not want women who had been raped to have to be counselled by a male person, so they lost their funding entirely.”
“The petition states that police departments across Canada are no longer recording the sex of alleged offenders, ‘but instead the gender by which they identify.’ The reasoning is that a person’s sex is too personal, and irrelevant to the charge of a crime committed. It is reasonable to consider that this change is to avoid running afoul of Human Rights legislation. Problems with this new practice include the confusion of crime stats, which then record crimes committed by male-bodied female-identifying persons as women’s crimes.” – Libby Emmons, “The Trudeau government won’t release information gender research – why?” – The Post Millennial, February 26th, 2020.
